These stories all lost throughout new Who as none are as inventive and well thought out. Like most things once you start throwing money at it tends to lose focus, proof series 8 and the coming 9. Unlike the old Verity Lambert productions where a dalek case with a tricycle inside cost 12 pounds to make and they did a better job than half the monsters in the new series. Proving that were showing the wrong Doctor Who in the wrong order to people. Watch it from start at an Unearthly Child and finish with the last Christmas and everyone would know the old ideas. Then you could do stories like bringing back a sequel to the Tomb of the Cybermen without having to explain it all again. Where they find the tomb again but secretly the Cybermen have been awake the whole time building new technology which is more powerful than the technology the current Cybermen have. Bonding old with new there are so many possibilities that the BBC could do but they have to make it easy for new people to understand. Currently they are making it a damn lot harder than it needs to be. I just don’t understand why they do not just show old Doctor Who on after the new episodes or before so everyone can see what it was before. Maybe even making a massive box set of all Doctor’s episodes promote the old series and to encourage new fans to watch them. In doing this you would open up what all of the actual history of Doctor Who really is, not what they read about online or heard from a friend, or worse, make up to fit what they think. So many people don’t know about the history of things like the Cybermen that is why I used them as an example. New fans need to know their history so no one just says they are robots or that were made by the future human race and they developed time travel and are destroying what they happen to come by or something incorrect like that. The fan who wants to know about all the history should watch all the originals get to know the characters before they call the Daleks some stupid race of robots or ask the stupid question of ‘how is the Tardis bigger on the inside than the out?’ (will link how it is below). So to sum it all up new fans should shut their mouth about anything Doctor Who until they have done what I have done and watch pretty much all of the originals first.
